Meals On Wheels
The Saint Andrew’s Meals on Wheels Team cooks and delivers hot noon meals to hungry seniors and home-bound adults in Beaumont every Thursday. All meals are prepared and packaged in our central kitchen located at our church campus. Volunteers transporting meals help stretch funds so that we can continue to meet a growing need; volunteers make it possible for people who are going hungry to have a meal; and volunteers may be the only person that a home-bound person talks to that day.
Do You Have……
- At least one hour per month of time?
- Vehicle with valid insurance and driver’s license?
- One gallon of gas?
If you answered yes, then we need you! We will…..
- Provide training, including riding with you on your first day.
- Provide the meals and containers for delivery.
- Guarantee you will be the apple in a senior’s eye!
Kindness Kits
SAPC’s Kindness Kits are a simple way to provide practical help to a homeless person. The Kits are located in the church office. Stop by and pick one up today to keep in your car to distribute to anyone in need of one.
Donations of these items are always welcome to include in Kindness Kits:
Drinks, snack crackers, canned tuna, Vienna sausage, individual hand wipes, napkins, pudding, socks, and non-perishable snacks for the bags. Feel free to bring your donated items to the church office.
Some Other Place (SOP) – Soup Kitchen
Community-based help for the hungry here in Beaumont. Volunteers are needed to cook and serve lunch at SOP on the First Wednesday of every month.
Some Other Place (SOP) – October Pantry Drive
October is Pantry month at SAPC. Every October, we collect can goods and non-perishable items to fill Some Other Place’s Pantry.
Southeast Texas Food Bank
Volunteer on the 2nd Saturday of the month to pack food boxes for hungry neighbors in our community.
Angel Trees
SAPC supports Angel Tree every year, which provides Christmas assistance for disadvantaged children and senior citizens, by donating new, unwrapped gifts.
